So I'm not sure if anybody reads this or if they do read it they will continue to read it, but if they do I greatly appreciate it.
Today I had this huge craving to listen to David Bowie's "Starman". I have posted the him playing at Top of the Pops. Enjoy. I don't what's with that song, but whenever I hear it I just belt out the lyrics. My favorite lyric in that song is at the end of the chorus "let the children Boogie", but he doesn't sing it as well as he could 20 years ago.
This past weekend I was at work and every Saturday this month Peter Pan, from NC Theatre, will be at my work. They will perform some songs. Here are a couple of pictures from them.

Today, I also ate lunch at Jimmy Johns. I had half of a bootlegger on wheat. Very Good. You can see the picture below.
So let's say there is this guy, we can call him "Pookie" (that was for you Karen). That is no way his real name but if there is any possible chance he could ever read this, I would probably kill myself. He lives in my neighborhood, very attractive, really funny, for me pretty perfect guy. One little thing I don't think he knows I exist. I mean it's not like we are in totally differentgroups (ie: he is popular, I'm some loser), but he never really talks to me. Sometimes when I am feeling lonely I take a walk with my dog, who is like 16 year old and the walk in the heat is probably killing her, and we go by his house which is kinda weird because he live at a dead end street. Maybe it's to take a glimpse at him, maybe it's to get him to notice me, for whatever reason I still can't help but go on a walk for about 15 minutes. Does that make me a stalker for doing that or does that make me obsessed or are those two similar, meaning that I need to get a life and stop looking for that one guy and make him come looking for me. Give me feedback.

Currently I am watching these shows on the History Channel (yes I do like the History Channel). The show(s) are about how much of the film series Indiana Jones is real. I very much like it. Maybe it is my desire to travel which makes me watch all of these things about history and what our ancestors left behind for us to find, and yes I did just use that line from National Treasure.
So I feel I haven't really told you about me except that I am a history buff who is also a creepy stalker (haha). I am currently 17, high school student, workaholic, and lonely for the summer which will eventually turn into lonely during the school year. I do have a best friend and no I didn't make her up. Her name is Karen (and yes that is real) she is two years older than me and she goes to Duke. We met through this volunteer program, which eventually became my job, about 3 year ago. My other good friend is Valerie she is also two year older than me and goes to NYU. We met through Karen and we all had a mutual interest in seeing the band Bloc Party. After that we were concert buddies. Now when the summer what coming up and I was thinking of all the concerts we would see both Karen and Valerie brought it upon me that they would both be leaving, Karen for Arizona and Valerie for NYC, hence the summer will be a bit lonely. I don't really like anybody at my school. I'm either really picky or the people at my school SUCK! Um, I do have a job as I mentioned earlier, I work in the gift shop of a kids museum.
So I think this is enough for my first post and I hope you enjoy the video of David Bowie.
Until tomorrow
Carey

haha yeah i didn't think we would have such prominent roles in this blog. but i think i know who this pookie is, actually i know who this pookie is. you should find an opportunity to talk to him, as if i should be the one to tell you that ;p find out what he is doing this summer (places he hangs out etc) so you don't have to walk down his cul-de-sac.
also http://picasaweb.google.com/guburbia is where you can find my photos for this summer.
karen
well the fact that i don't have a life outside of the fact i am friends with both of you, makes you have a prominent role in this blog. are you sure you know who pookie is, because it might not be who you think it is or it might. to awkward to find out that info. we are not that great of friends. thanks for the photos website. some great shots.
